Perfection = Quitting

When you seek perfection in what you are doing,
  ±×´ë°¡ ÇÏ´Â °Í¿¡¼ ¿Ïº®ÇÔÀ» Ãß±¸ÇÒ ¶§,
you steer your work toward what you imagine
  ±×´ë°¡ ¿Ïº®È÷ ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù°í »ó»óÇÏ´Â ÂÊÀ¸·Î
you can do perfectly.
  ±×´ë´Â ±×´ëÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ¸ô¾Æ°£´Ù.

In other words, you cling ever more tightly

to what you already know
  ÀÌ¹Ì ¾Ë°í ÀÖ´Â ±×°Í¿¡
you can do

- away from risk and exploration,

and possibly further from the work of your heart.
  ±×¸®°í ±×´ë°¡ ÁøÁ¤ ¿øÇÏ´Â ÀϷκÎÅÍ ´õ¿í ¸Ö¾îÁø´Ù

Believing that your work should be perfect,

you gradually become convinced

that you can't do.

Then you find reasons to delay,

since to not work is to not make mistakes.
